Blog Post 1/13!~

Hello, I will be answering 2 questions related to my film project.

The intended audience for my film is people who like horror movies revolving around a doll because my film genre is horror so I would like my audience to like the genre so they would enjoy the movie. Their moviegoing habits would be to get some popcorn or snack to eat whilst watching it, pee before starting the movie, and turning off all the lights to have a dark room, as well as, turning the volume all the way up. The way to get people to view my movie is to have a good opening sequence and a title that hooks or piques the interest of a viewer.

For example, Annabelle had a hooking title and opening sequence that got a lot of viewers attentions. And the type of audience the film has is a bunch of horror movie lovers.

The titles in horror films are normally big bolded text. Fonts vary, but the ones I've seen has like blood dripping off the words, or just vintage looking to make it that makes the overall cover of the movie more scary or creepier. The kind of information I need to include in my title is a shortened main idea of what the film is going to be about. As well as, giving away as much about the film but making it short enough to hook in a lot of viewers.

For example, in the Haunting of Bly Manor had a perfect title, it gave the overall main idea of what the movie was about but in a very short way. The font worked with what the cover was giving off a creepy vibe which is what hooked me into watching it!
